Our Top 5 Favourite Wines
There are so many wonderful wines in South Africa, we enjoy new ones on the horizon almost every day. Our current favourites are listed below, but this doesn’t mean there aren’t other great wine available to the public.

Onderkloof Pinotage 2018 (Stellenbosch)
Harvested from the only bush vines on the Onderkloof farm. The grapes are harvested painstakingly by hand and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. The vines are not irrigated which allows for an extremely concentrated fruit flavor and deep ruby-red colour. The full-bodied structure of Pinotage is showcased beautifully and belies the price.

Radford Dale Renaissance 2018 – Chenin Blanc
This is one of the greatest representations of how Chenin Blanc can and should be made. Made from some of the oldest bush vines in the Cape this wine is the epitome of dedication and brilliant craftsmanship. Radford Dale have done a superb job integrating subtle oak aging with the beautiful fruity flavours of Chenin, brought to life by an ever present minerality. (spent 9 months in oak)
With an aging potential of 10 to 15 years no wine cellar, nor glass, is complete without it.
Neethlingshof Estate Shiraz - 2016
Rich, soft and succulent wine packed with ripe, dark berry flavours. Elegant tannins make for an accessible and enjoyable wine that lingers on the palate with a spicy note in the aftertaste.
Kleine Zalze - 2017 Family Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
The grapes were selected from vineyards in Stellenbosch (False Bay), Durbanville
and Darling. The 2017 vintage surprised us all after a very dry winter and growing
season. The days were moderate with cool evenings, perfect for Sauvignon Blanc.
The canopies were opened up early December to ensure enough sunlight in the
bunch zone
Wellington Wines - Imprint Frizzante Blush (and also Imprint Frizzante Blanc)
Our choice for a fun wine (with bubbles!) ready to drink at any occasion! No wonder it won: 2019 Gold - SA Women’s Wine & Spirit Awards. And it’s brother, the Imprint Frizzante Blanc is every drop as good! No vintage – this is our choice for everyday relaxing, and at only 9.08% alcohol you are allowed to enjoy this during the week as well!
